Sir Albany Sardines are fished and processed by the Westerberg Family out of Albany in Southern Western Australia. The Westerbergs have been fishing these clean, cold waters for over 100 years and know what they’re doing. The Sardines (Sardinops Sagax) are iced on the boats as soon as they are landed to avoid any deterioration. This together with careful and quick filleting, salting and preserving are the reason why these marinated sardines are so superior. They are firm, plump and very fresh tasting. Use them as an Aussie boquerones, in salads, pizza, and endless other applications.
